PRO WATERCROSS SupXross WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP:

FRIDAY - OCTOBER 23, 2020:

• 3:00-6:00 PM: Registration / Check-in
• Time TBD: "Practice Safe SUP" with *ACA WV State Directors Evan & Brooke Young > Learn about PFD's and Leashes on land, then practice board rescues and towing on the water!
• *The American Canoe Association has been the Gold Standard in paddle-sport safety and instruction since 1880.
• Time TBD: on-water & on-land SupXross course familiarization: Preview the course from atop the grandstand, walk/run through the course layout on land, and practice the real thing on the water with SupXross Co-founder & Managing Director Evan Young.
• Competitors must be registered & checked-in to participate on the water. 
• Pre-Race Social: Come Saturday to see the sky come to life with HydroFlight! It's exactly what it sounds like...using the power of water to send a rider flying through the air at extreme speeds, spinning & flipping at soaring heights, and even diving through the water as effortlessly as a dolphin. 
• When the sun goes down, the flyers light up for a night show like you've never seen before! More Eco-Friendly than fireworks (litter-free) & more fun too! > PERFECT way to celebrate the Future of Sup-Racing with all your FRIENDS & FAMILY!!! 

SATURDAY OCTOBER 24, 2020: 

• 7:30 - 9:00 AM SupXross registration and Check-In
• 9:15 AM Brief SupXross Course-Preview Meeting (Q&A)
• 9:30 AM: SupXross Open Practice per Course Familiarization 
• 10:30 AM: SupXross Roll Call & Racer Meeting
• 11:00 AM: SupXross Racing Begins!
• 3:00 PM: SupXross Racing Ends  
• 4:00 PM SupXross Awards

*Racing may end & the Awards may occur sooner than scheduled depending on the number of participants & heats.

SAFETY RULES & RACE DETAILS:

• ALL race participants are REQUIRED to wear a USCG approved PFD.

• Participants are ENCOURAGED to wear a leash and helmet, however not required.

• Participants are REQUIRED to abide by age, gender & board-length specifications per registered division.

• Participants are REQUIRED to race STANDING UP, yet in the event of a fall & remount, a participant is allowed a minimal amount of forward strokes while seated or kneeling before STANDING again ASAP.

• The NOSE of the board must remain behind the start line at the beginning of the race and winners will be based on whose BOARD NOSE hits the finish line first. Please paddle through & clear the finish line! *For the sake of safety and validity, paddlers should finish standing and not kick the board out forward.

• Drafting IS allowed, however abrupt contact to the back of another racers’ board is highly discouraged!

• Making contact with another paddler or their board using your paddle or body is NOT ALLOWED, and in extreme cases could be grounds for disqualification, however contact between boards from the side rales may occur and is allowed. (As the saying goes...“Rubbing is RACING!”) *Please be RESPECTFUL*

• Participants awaiting their race heat are allowed to be on the water while waiting, however are REQUIRED to remain at least 30 feet away from the RACE COURSE during heats. Any physical interference with a participant during their active race heat could disqualify you from your race!
